All Souls orchestra visits Exeter
Sunday 15 November 2009
41 years ago I took my final exams in the basement of the Great Hall at the University of Exeter. Last Sunday the All Souls orchestra visited the Great Hall. It was a marvellous evening beginning with Mendelssohn´s March of the Priests and featuring solos from soprano Kathryn Copeland. Sheila and I especially enjoyed ´"Jesus is Lord!" - the cry echoes through creation´ by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend. Noel Tredinnick and Rico Tice were in great form and, of course, a bonus for me was that both Noel and Rico warmly commended by new biography of John Stott ´Inside Story´. The Langham Arts stand sold twenty copies of the book very quickly and, as I signed some copies, I heard some delightful stories of the impact John had on individual lives.
You can get your copy of ´Inside Story´ by following the link on the home page of this website.
